MINISTRY SUPPORT Capital Campaigns LCEF partners with your congregation as you embark on a three+ year journey of ministry expansion, building and stewardship.

Each process is unique, but the result is the same: Your ministry is joyfully and effectively fulfilling its purpose within the Kingdom.
HELPFUL DOCUMENTS GET STARTED

We have been guiding organizations through capital campaigns for almost 30 years. We’ve learned a lot over the decades and have come to operate under some clear critical theories:

  • Campaigns are about ministry, not money. We aren’t saying financial commitments aren’t necessary, rather we help frame the financials within the big picture: God is calling you into the future and your supporters to commit to that future. Financial resources are part of that larger commitment.
  • Every organization is unique. Our process flow is time-tested but made flexible to fit your ministry. Our resource archive is vast and guaranteed to spark creativity in your teams.
  • We need to hear from Christ. Our process is designed so that at critical moments, each supporter hears the voice of Christ calling them to commit to the future He is laying before your ministry. This is a critical difference between just a fundraiser and an LCEF capital campaign.
  • We need to hear from one another. Campaigns are guided by our LCEF team and executed by your staff and volunteers. At various times, your volunteers and/or supporters are invited to speak out and encourage others to take this step forward in commitment to the future God is placing before you.
  • We design the fulfillment phase. The three years of commitment fulfillment require multiple ministry celebration events, reminder mini-campaigns and good development practices.
  • Binders are bust. Our campaigns are hosted in Basecamp project management software, which gives your team instant access to all campaign materials, tasks and LCEF team members. It also allows us to continually customize each campaign instantly, which means no more tearing out binder pages and scribbling notes over outdated ideas!

  8+ Weeks

Imagine

This initial phase of the campaign is for planning and prep. It involves gathering and training the campaign leadership team, establishing a clear and concise case, developing FAQs, mapping out the entire campaign and creating materials and media that will be used. During this phase, your consultant and other LCEF Ministry Support Team members will engage with your campaign leadership team and support the decisions made.

DESIGN AND PREP CAMPAIGN

  4+ Weeks

Private Invite

The Private Invite Phase begins with the procurement of lead gifts and connections with special supporters. Your consultant guides this critical part of the process as you curate a major donor list and determine how each donor should be invited to participate and assists in calling/engaging with those donors. This phase culminates with an Initial Commitment Event designed to bring lead donors together to make early commitments to the campaign.

LEAD GIFTS AND PRIVATE SUPPORTER EVENTS

  5+ Weeks

Public Invite

Armed with initial commitments, the campaign launches publicly with momentum. This portion of the campaign connects with donors who have not been contacted as lead givers, with partner churches and members and with the organization’s constituents/alumni. Events are designed during the Imagine Phase to gather and connect these various groups with your ministries and the campaign.

PUBLIC LAUNCH OF THE CAMPAIGN

  3 Years

Impact

Three years of fulfillment begin with “First Gifts” where supporters begin their regular giving. Throughout these years we design periodic events and special communications to re-ignite the excitement of the campaign and remind one another what God is doing in our midst through your ministry.
