Y.I. StewardAccount® Extra Credit
Grow your Young Investor’s savings by submitting extra credit for activities they are already doing — earning good grades and completing service hours for their church, school or community. With the opportunity to earn up to $50 per year credited to a Young Investors (Y.I.) StewardAccount, children are empowered to live out their vocation as a student well while saving for the future.
Rules and eligibility:
- Children ages 7 to 18 with an active Young Investors StewardAccount are eligible to receive good grade and service hour extra credit.
- A Young Investor can earn up to $50 each year — up to $25 for good grades and $25 for completing service hours.
- Extra credit submissions must be submitted through our online form between May 1 and August 31. Submissions will not be accepted outside of that timeframe.
- Submissions received via mail and email are not valid. Please use our online form to receive credit.
- Only one good grades submission and one service hour submission are allowed per year for each Young Investor.
- Extra credit can only be earned for the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Only grades earned and service completed after opening an Young Investors (Y.I.) StewardAccount® are eligible.
- All credit will be applied to your Young Investors StewardAccount in late September, regardless of when the submission was received. Please allow time for our team to process your request, and look forward to receiving credit in your account in late September.
Good Grades Extra Credit:
- Young Investors can receive a maximum of $25 each calendar year for each A earned – $1 per A per quarter, trimester, or semester.
- If your Young Investor’s school uses an alternative grading system, the highest possible grade earned is equivalent to an A.
- If your Young Investor is homeschooled, please submit a report card or equivalent document that reflects the academic performance of your Young Investor over the course of the school year.
Service Hour Extra Credit:
- Young Investors must complete a minimum of 10 service hours to receive $25 each calendar year.
- Hours may completed on one project or on several projects.
- Service may be with your church, school or a community organization.
- Service completed for family members (such as grandparents) does not qualify for extra credit.
