Through our mission, we help cultivate thriving LCMS churches, schools and organizations. All gifts and donations to LCEF are contributed to the loans, investments and other resources we offer in support of the church’s mission.

How does LCEF use my gift?
Every gift donated to LCEF supports LCMS church workers and the ministries they serve. Gifts made on LCEF Giving Day 2026 go toward loans for church workers—helping pastors, teachers, deaconesses and others access the financial support they need to focus on ministry. LCEF also provides a wide range of financial solutions for LCMS church workers, churches, schools and other organizations throughout the year.
Can I set up a recurring gift on LCEF Giving Day 2026?
Yes! During your gifting process, you can choose to make a one-time gift or set up a recurring donation. Please note that only the initial gift made on June 15, 2026, will be tripled as part of the LCEF Giving Day 2026 match.
How do I know my gift is secure?
LCEF has served the LCMS since 1978 with a commitment to financial integrity and faithful stewardship. Your gift is handled with care and directed entirely toward supporting LCMS ministries and church workers.
Can I mail in a check?
Yes, LCEF will accept mailed in gifts as a part of the triple match for Giving Day. Please note “CWLP Triple Match” on the memo line of your check and place it it in the mail on or before Giving Day.
Who are LCMS church workers?
LCMS church workers include pastors, teachers, Directors of Christian Education (DCEs), deaconesses, Directors of Parish Music (DPMs) and other ordained or commissioned workers who dedicate their lives to ministry. LCEF exists to support these individuals and the congregations, schools and organizations they serve.
Is there a maximum gift amount that can be tripled?
The $500,000 matching fund is available on a first-come, first-served basis on June 15. We encourage you to give early in the day to ensure your gift is tripled before the match is reached.
Are donations to LCEF tax-deductable?
As a Section 501(c)(3) organization, LCEF is eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions. We recommend consulting a tax advisor for guidance specific to your situation.
