Marketing Internship Job Description

The Marketing intern will assist the team members in the Marketing & Customer Support Department of Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) in attracting new customers and assuring satisfaction of current customers. The department includes Media Communications, Customer Relations, Investment Processing and Regional Marketing. The intern will be involved with projects throughout the various areas of the department including:

  • Participating in the development of marketing materials
  • Producing written or artistic content for various media outlets
  • Providing support in the management of promotional items
  • Analyzing survey results for projects as needed
  • Developing graphic elements, designs for print and interactive marketing

Qualifications

  • Advertising, communications or marketing related degree focus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
  • Base knowledge of social media
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Helpful but not required: familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Completing sophomore or junior year of college

    Lending & Real Estate Management

    The Lending & Real Estate Management intern will work with the Loans and Real Estate Department, which is responsible for loan origination, loan underwriting, loan documentation and loan servicing of all loans to borrowers throughout The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod church body. Borrowers include congregations, schools, church workers, districts and recognized service organizations. You
    will have contact with the chief credit officer and be
    involved with projects throughout the various areas of the department that would include:

    • General financial industry trends and best practices for loan underwriting and/or loan processing
    • Special Projects Develop minimum guideline for financial reporting

      • Loan Resolution Group
      • Credit Review
      • Loan Processing
      • Loan Operations

    Qualifications

    • Business, pre-law or finance related degree focus
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
    • Active involvement in campus life
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Completing sophomore or junior year of college
