On April 2, Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF) announced the 2018 Kaleidoscope Fund grant process is now open.

These grants are open to Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) congregations (including their K-12 schools and childcare centers); LCEF member districts; and offices of the Synod. In the last two years, the fund has granted over $1.2 million to 22 different LCMS ministries.

“Because LCEF has been blessed with faithful Lutheran investors, we are always looking for opportunities to support the Church in fulfilling its mission of sharing the Gospel,” said Rev. Bart Day, LCEF president and CEO. “These grants help strengthen congregations, schools, church workers and the communities they impact. We thank our investors and borrowing partners who allow special programs like this to continue at LCEF.”

A few changes have been made to this year’s grants:

  • Funds will be granted in amounts between $25,000 to $250,000.
  • The process will now begin with a grant proposal summary.
  • The committee will then select ministries from these proposals to apply for a grant.

The deadline to submit grant proposals is June 15. Start the grant process.
