Finding a Solution in Your Own Backyard

John and Mary Durkin like to help and educate others. The parents of two young children, John serves as Director of Christian Education (DCE) at St. John Lutheran Church, Indianapolis, Ind., and Mary is a part-time kindergarten teacher at Emmaus Lutheran Church, also in Indianapolis. Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Acton, Mass., has a new 7,100-square-foot preschool building and newly renovated parish hall and offices. The expansion and renovations are the first major changes to Mt. Calvary’s physical plant in approximately 25 years.
