While a congregation with mostly gray hair may be seen as dying, the Rev. Mark Rhoads sees something else: people of commitment, stewardship and a “powerful influence on the church-at-large.”
His congregation is made up of primarily retirees in their 60s and beyond.
They are experienced congregational leaders and committed stewards, he said, and many are LCEF investors. They invest for themselves, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, to support the work of the church.
